Ubuntu Migration Camp is a seasonal, mobile safari camp that moves strategically across the Serengeti to provide guests with unparalleled access to the Great Migration. From mid-December to mid-March, the camp is based in the Southern Serengeti near Kusini, where vast herds of wildebeest gather to give birth on the lush, green plains. From June to mid-November, it relocates to the Northern Serengeti, near Lamai, offering front-row seats to the dramatic river crossings.

The camp features ten beautifully appointed canvas safari tents, including a family tent, designed for comfort while maintaining an eco-conscious footprint. Each tent is spacious and airy, with large mesh windows that invite natural light and a gentle breeze. En-suite bathrooms feature traditional safari bucket showers, ensuring a balance between luxury and sustainability. Private verandas provide breathtaking views of the Serengeti, allowing guests to relax while wildlife roams freely across the landscape.

Ubuntu Migration Camp’s dining experience is a highlight of every stay. Guests can enjoy a variety of gourmet meals, from light buffet-style lunches to exquisite three-course dinners. In the northern region, the camp sources fresh produce from local community initiatives, ensuring high-quality ingredients while supporting the surrounding villages. Picnic lunches can also be arranged for full-day game drives, allowing guests to savor delicious meals amid the untamed wilderness.

Daily game drives in custom-designed 4x4 safari vehicles bring guests closer to the Serengeti’s abundant wildlife, including the Big Five and a diverse range of predators and prey. The park is also home to over 500 bird species, making it a paradise for birdwatchers.
