Nestled on the western edge of a wildlife-rich grassland in Laikipia, Kenya, Tumaren Camp offers an exclusive tented experience that immerses guests in the region's natural splendor. Originally the residence of Karisia Walking Safaris' founders, Kerry Glen and James Christian, the camp overlooks a salt lick frequented by diverse wildlife, providing guests with front-row seats to nature's spectacle.

The camp features seven spacious sleeping tents, each thoughtfully equipped with convenient lighting, en-suite bathrooms, and modern flush toilets. Four of these tents are designed to accommodate families or groups, with partitions and options for additional beds, comfortably hosting up to four or five guests. Each tent offers expansive views of the surrounding landscape, allowing guests to observe wildlife from the comfort of their private retreat.

Dining at Tumaren Camp is a communal affair, with meals served in the central mess tent. Guests can savor a variety of dishes prepared with locally sourced ingredients, reflecting the rich culinary heritage of the region. Evenings often conclude with drinks around the campfire, where stories of the day's adventures are shared under the starlit African sky.

A range of activities awaits those eager to explore. Guided walks and leisurely camel rides offer intimate encounters with the local flora and fauna, while game drives provide opportunities to witness Laikipia's diverse wildlife up close.
